Dear Prayer Partners,

Greeting in the name of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

It has been almost two months since we communicated with you and brought you up to date. We have gone to a bi-monthly prayer letter due to cost. I would like to go to an internet prayer letter through e-mail and you can help me accomplish this by e-mailing me at hiswordoftruth@gmail.com if you are receiving “Just a Daily Thought“. Please let me know for we do send the letter out through that source. We are also using Face Book. I know many of our partners do not use the computer or have access to internet and we will continue to send letters to all of you who do not have this access.

After returning home from the Ukraine and Russia we had a short break and went back on the road.  We headed north to Batavia, New York to be with our friends and Pastor Bruce Balduf at Calvary Baptist Church.  While there we ministered with Scott Griese at First Baptist Church in Pulaski, NY and then we made our way down to Freedom Road Bible Church  with Pastor Rick Bruschi and then to Chapel Hill Bible Church with Pastor Geoff Bruschi in Walden, NY. These two young men are like my own sons and we had a great time fellowshipping and sharing the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour with their church family.  We then headed back home.

As we pulled into our front yard the motor home broke down. What a blessing to have it break down right in the front yard rather than on the road. The starter celluloid went out and the inverter had burned up.  The total cost of the repairs was $1141.00 out of our pocket. The actual cost would have been $2641.00 but our mechanical insurance covered $1500.00 of the repairs.  While waiting for the motor home repairs, we played “catch up” at the house mowing the yard and writing letters. Then the air conditioner went down at our house. The A-Coil went bad and that cost us another $300.00 in repair bills.  Praise the Lord for patience and guidance by the Holy Spirit in matters like these.  I reminded of Romans 8:28; “ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  On the twelfth of July, we had the honor of being with one of supporting churches, Holly Farms Road Baptist Church with Pastor David Arbitelle. These folks are so precious and always have been a blessing to our ministry.  Thank you, Holly Farms, for your prayers and financial support to this ministry.

On the eighteenth of July we began another tour to take us to South Carolina, North Carolina and then to Kentucky. We ministered at two churches in South Carolina and made two new friends.  Pastor Bruce Scott at Maranatha  Baptist Church at Monks Corner was a real blessing to us with  a super friendly church.  We also presented the ministry at Open Door Bible Baptist Church in Goose Creek, SC.  A special thank you goes to all of the church ministries for their prayers and sacrifice in giving.

From there we headed to Kentucky to attend the Vietnam Veterans of America National Convention. In 2003, I accepted the responsibility of being the State of Virginia Chaplain.

While in Kentucky we ministered at Lighthouse Baptist Church, a four year old church under the leadership of Pastor David Jordan.  This church is a growing church with a sweet spirit. We also ministered at Victory Baptist Church in Georgetown, Kentucky. Several came to altar to pray as I preached on “CanI stir you up?”

We also ministered at Fellowship Baptist Church in Radcliff, Kentucky. We presented our ministry in all three of these churches.  During the last seven weeks we have ministered to a minimum of one thousand people and passed out over two hundred tracts. We have witnessed two people accepting Christ and over a hundred people re-committing their lives to Christ. Four of these churches are praying about supporting our ministry. We have traveled thirty eight hundred miles and have been blessed in so many ways that we could fill several written pages with exciting events that have happened.

New Books:  We are working on two new books… “Ten C’s of Missions” and “The Culture Shock”… Hopefully they will be completed by the end of the year.

As soon as we raise the money the next book will to go to press, “Ninety Days of Bible Study in the Book of Revelation.” This book is over 300 pages.

We had to put off our trip to India and Israel until next year. I am being very frugal as the economy is struggling and this is affecting the giving of many churches.  Our schedule is coming together for 2010 and I will share that with you in the next prayer letter.

These are pictures of the storm that hit Louisville, Kentucky in August flooding the city. We were there!
